General Rules

Here on Shadow War, in order to ensure that all Players are able to enjoy themselves, we ask that all users adhere to the following set of rules:

You may only have three accounts active at any given time, only one account per Group, Squad, Team or Village. If you wish to do so, you may retire an unused character in order to create another account, however, this can be done only once per month and requires Staff approval before the new account is created.
You must use the Character's name or Alias as the account name unless the account is being used for OOC (Out Of Character) purposes, or is being used for multiple NPCs.
Shadow War is a PG-13 forum and as such, posting content inappropriate for this age-group outside of marked Mature threads is strictly unallowed and will result in immediate removal of offending posts and a ban if this is done on multiple occasions.
Even in Mature Threads, please remember that sexually explicit content is not allowed, any such content may be alluded to or done through a "fade to black" but cannot be done within the thread itself or in any place on the Forum. This also applies to content involving Gore, Torture, or other topics which could be considered disturbing to some viewers.
Harassment of fellow Users is not allowed, Staff or otherwise. This includes insulting other users, begging, or otherwise making a nuisance of yourself. Posting multiple times in a row on a Thread without consent from other users, as well as sending unwarranted PMs or otherwise are also not allowed.

You will not be reprimanded for Bumping a thread so long as it is only once per 24 hours, nor will you be reprimanded for checking the status of an application or contacting Staff regarding any issue.
You must be approved through the Character Board before you are allowed to RP on the forum, however, you may join our Discord server at any time prior to your approval.

RP Specific Rules:

No Godmodding. This includes taking control of another character without their permission or the ability to do so as well as situations such as stating that your own character is unkillable and the like without any rhyme or reason. Attempting to Godmod will result in your post being Voided or a Ban depending on the severity and number of the offense(s).
No Meta-Gaming. This refers to the act of using Out Of Character (OOC) knowledge in order to benefit yourself In Character (IC). An example of this would be using the information on a Character Tracker to give your Character an advantage without there being a reason for them to know any such information. Attempting to Meta-Game will result in posts being Voided and a Ban depending on the severity and number of the Offense(s).
Alt interactions must be reasonable and you cannot use these accounts purely for gains on another character. If you attempt to do so, your Thread may be Voided or the unlawful gains removed. You may, however, use more than one account in the same Thread so long as it makes sense In Character and all Players consent to such.
Respect Thread tags: Do not attempt to enter an Invite-Only thread without permission or attempt to prevent other Players from entering an Open Thread through OOC means, failing to do so will result in the offending Post(s) being Voided.
